Historical original
The Smith & Wesson Schofield was a single-action, top-break revolver derived from the Model 3 and modified according to the designs of Major George W. Schofield for cavalry use. Historical revolvers were manufactured between 1875 and 1878, with most of the approximately 9,000 pieces supplied to the US Army. The original used the .45 Schofield cartridge, also known as .45 Smith & Wesson.
