PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The decorative replica of a pirate flintlock pistol Denix for left-handed users, 18th century – grey is made of wood and metal. It features a grey finish on the metal parts and a moving mechanism that simulates the operation of the firearm.
The wooden grip extends into the fore-end beneath the barrel. Ornate metal fittings, a flared muzzle and a flintlock mechanism on the left side complete the replica's appearance.
The historical inspiration comes from 18th-century pirate flintlock pistols. Flintlock pistols were also used at sea; in real firearms, the flint struck the steel frizzen to produce sparks, which ignited the powder in the priming pan and then the charge in the barrel.
Warning: This is a decorative replica firearm intended for collecting and display purposes. The replica cannot fire and does not have the mechanisms required to discharge a shot. It is not a deactivated firearm – the product was not originally a functional firearm that was subsequently deactivated.
