PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Brescia percussion pistol is a decorative replica of an Italian pistol from 1825. It combines a wooden grip with metal parts in a grey finish and is intended for collectors or decorative use.
Replica design
The grip is made of wood, while the other elements are made of metal with a grey finish.
The replica has a moving mechanism simulating the operation of a firearm. When cocked, the mechanism responds to pulling the trigger with a clicking sound.
Historical original
The original is based on an Italian pistol from Brescia, dated approximately to 1825. Brescia was an important centre of gunsmithing production for centuries; the local tradition of firearm manufacturing has been documented since the 16th century. The pistol belonged to the period when the percussion lock system became widespread in handguns.
Warning: This is a decorative weapon replica intended for collecting and decorative purposes. The replica is not capable of firing and does not have the mechanisms required to discharge a shot. It is not a deactivated firearm – the product was not originally a functional firearm that was subsequently deactivated.
