Replica Mauser C96, Germany 1896 is a decorative reproduction of the German self-loading pistol known for its characteristic broomhandle-shaped grip. It is intended for collecting and decorative purposes.

Replica construction

The replica combines a metal body with a wooden stock. The wooden parts are made from Spanish pine.

The model features a moving mechanism simulating cocking and firing. The pistol can be cocked; when the trigger is pulled, the mechanism clicks. The magazine is not removable.

Historical original

The original Mauser C96 was one of the early self-loading pistols; it was patented in 1895 and production began in 1896. The Feederle brothers worked on its design, while Peter Paul Mauser patented and manufactured the weapon in Oberndorf. Early pistols primarily used the 7,63x25mm Mauser cartridge, while later versions were also produced in 9x19mm Parabellum and other calibres. The pistol appeared in conflicts during the first half of the 20th century, including both World Wars.
