Makarov PM Replica, Russia 1955 is a decorative copy of a Soviet semi-automatic pistol. The metal construction with a black finish is complemented by imitation wood grip panels.
Replica construction
The replica body is made of metal. The grip panels are made of plastic and imitate wood in appearance.
The replica features a movable mechanism simulating the operation of a firearm: it can be cocked and produces a clicking sound when the trigger is pulled. The magazine is removable.
Historical original
The original PM (Makarov Pistol) was designed by Nikolay Fyodorovich Makarov as a Soviet service pistol. It was adopted into service in 1951, and the well-known version with a modified frame shape appeared in 1955. The historical firearm used the 9 × 18 mm Makarov cartridge.
