Replica M1A1 Carbine with folding stock and sling, USA 1942

The decorative replica of the M1A1 Carbine with folding stock and sling, USA 1942 by Denix depicts an American paratrooper weapon from the Second World War. It features a folding stock, a sling and a removable magazine.

Replica construction

The replica combines metal parts with a wooden fore-end and pistol grip made from Spanish pine. The metal parts have a black finish.

The metal skeleton stock folds and is fitted with a cheek rest. The replica includes a leather sling with adjustable length.

The magazine can be removed and reinserted. The bolt can be cocked, and the mechanism clicks when the trigger is pulled; this only simulates the operation of the weapon, with no firing capability.

Historical original

The original M1A1 was a paratrooper version of the M1 semi-automatic carbine. It entered service in May 1942 and differed from the standard M1 primarily in having a folding stock. Deliveries to the American 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions began in October of the same year.

Notice: This is a decorative replica weapon intended for collecting and display purposes. The replica cannot fire and lacks the mechanisms required to fire a shot. It is not a deactivated firearm – the product was not originally a functional firearm that was subsequently deactivated.
