Replica Luger P08, Germany 1898

Decorative replica of the Luger P08, Germany 1898 pistol, based on the distinctive Parabellum self-loading pistol. It is made of metal and features wooden grip panels. It serves as a collector’s or decorative item.

Replica design

The metal construction is complemented by a pair of wooden grip panels. The replica features a moving mechanism simulating cocking and firing; when the trigger is pulled, a mechanical click can be heard. The magazine can be removed.

Historical original

The Parabellum pistol was designed by Georg Luger, who completed and patented the design in 1898. The German Army adopted it into service on 28 August 1908 under the designation Pistole 08 (P08); this military version was characterised by the 9×19 mm Parabellum calibre. The P08 pistol was manufactured during the First World War, and its production in Germany continued until 1942, when it was gradually replaced by the P.38 pistol.
