Replica Luger P08 Artillery, Germany 1917

Decorative replica of the Luger P08 Artillery pistol, based on the German Lange Pistole 08 long pistol in the 1917 version. The metal body is complemented by wooden grip panels, matching the characteristic appearance of the historical original.

Replica construction

The replica is made of metal with a black finish, while the grip panels are wooden.

The moving mechanism simulates cocking and firing. The pistol can be cocked; when the trigger is pulled, a mechanical click is heard, and the magazine is removable.

Historical original

The Lange Pistole 08 (LP08), known as the Artillery Luger, was a longer military version of the P08 pistol. The German army adopted it in 1913 for artillery units as a weapon for defending positions; historical examples had an extended barrel, an adjustable sight and the option to attach a wooden shoulder stock. The original used the 9 × 19 mm Parabellum cartridge and, alongside the standard magazine, could also be fitted with a 32-round Trommelmagazin 08 drum magazine.
