Replica Colt Peacemaker / American Cavalry, USA 1873

Decorative replica inspired by the long cavalry version of the American Colt Single Action Army. The metal construction with a matte nickel finish is complemented by wooden grip panels.

Replica construction

The grip is fitted with wooden panels, while the revolver body, barrel and cylinder are metal.

The moving mechanism allows cocking and produces a mechanical click when the trigger is pulled. The cylinder is rotatable, allowing the replica to imitate the basic movement of a real revolver.

Historical original

The historical original is the Colt Single Action Army, also known as the Peacemaker or Model 1873. Colt introduced it in 1873, and the US Army adopted it as a service revolver; it remained in service until 1892. Cavalry models featured a long barrel and were among the typical sidearms of the US Army in the second half of the 19th century.
