Colt Army 1860 Replica is a decorative version of an American military revolver from the period of the American Civil War. It combines metal parts with a wooden grip panel and retains the characteristic silhouette of a revolver with a cylindrical cylinder.
Replica design
Barrel and cylinder have a black finish, while the frame has a brass finish. The grip panel is made of wood; the other parts of the replica are made of metal.
Moving mechanism simulates loading and firing. The cylinder rotates, the replica can be cocked and the mechanism clicks when the trigger is pressed.
Historical original
Colt Model 1860 Army was a percussion six-shot revolver manufactured from 1860 to 1873. The historical firearm used .44 calibre and was among the main sidearms of Union troops during the American Civil War.
