Replica Browning HP / GP35, Belgium 1935 is a decorative pistol model from the Second World War period. The metal construction is complemented by black plastic grip panels. The replica is intended for collecting and decorative purposes.

Replica design

The pistol body is made of metal, while the grip panels are made of black plastic. The construction retains the characteristic lines of the historic Browning HP 35 pistol.

The model has a moving mechanism: the pistol can be cocked and, when the trigger is pulled, the mechanism clicks. The slide and hammer are also movable; the magazine can be removed from the replica.

Historical original

The historic Browning HP / GP35 was created based on a design by John M. Browning, which was further developed after his death by designers at the Belgian company FN. The Belgian army adopted it into service in 1935. The original was a semi-automatic pistol chambered for the 9×19 mm Luger cartridge and used a double-stack magazine holding 13 rounds, the design of which involved Dieudonné Saive. During the Second World War, this type was used by armed forces on both sides of the conflict.
