RealHunter electronic hearing protectors with active hearing protection. In practice, this means the headset activates and blocks all sounds above 85 dB. The advantage of this system is trouble-free communication with colleagues at the range while maintaining hearing protection during shooting. The headset is equipped with an LED that lights up when the unit is switched on.
They are equipped with a highly sensitive directional microphone. You activate the headset with a button, which is also used to adjust the volume to match the surrounding conditions. Thanks to the ergonomic shape, the headset fits almost everyone. Compared to standard electronic hearing protectors, they are more cut away. Size adjustment of the headset is, of course, possible.
An advantage of the headset is the built-in mini jack port to which you can connect, for example, an MP3 player or mobile phone. Even while listening to music, the headset remains active. The hearing protectors have an NRR 23 dB rating. Power is supplied by two AAA batteries, which are not included.

Plenty of music for little money, they work similarly to the expensive branded
ones. Sufficient battery life of over 3 hours, I did not test longer.
Possibility to connect an external sound source via 3.5 jack (radio, mobile…)
- the cheapest quality headphones on the market
- the shaft for inserting 2 AAA batteries is a bit short, the batteries are difficult to insert
- the batteries are inserted on a different side of the headphones than indicated by the label
- the instructions on how to insert the batteries are incomprehensible
