Machine translation
– The bowstring wrap didn't even last 10 shots (of course waxed + lube on the
arrow guides), it's nothing you can't fix yourself, but I was definitely
expecting more. My excalibur crossbow bowstring wrap has 300 shots on it and
there is no sign of any break or damage.
– When you lodge the arrow in the rail (crossbow barrel), you can see a
considerable gap on the right side where the arrow leaves the rail at 10cm, i.e.
the arrow guide is not parallel along its entire length. This really should not
be happening.
– The retractable stock has a pretty big pouch, but you can see this even with
a 40,000 kc AR. It can be replaced.
– The optic, that's what I was most worried about and my fears were
realized. The reticle is fine, easy to read and look at + backlighting, but
that's about it. The FPS speed setting doesn't work at all, also the elevation
correction doesn't meet the full range (about halfway through the range it
doesn't respond to further clicks (verified with a tight fit).
– And the main thing is SPEED. The 405 fps claimed by the manufacturer is a
good joke. I assume he is giving this speed when using the arrows that come
with the crossbow, i.e. 22" and a total weight of 420 grain. Repeatedly
measured 367–360 fps. Now I'm worried at what arrow weight the crossbow would
shoot those 405 Fps as the manufacturer states, I won't try it because
I would risk extreme vibration which is not good for pulleys or shoulders. My
guess is that even with 350 grain it wouldn't reach that 405 fps.
– What I do praise is the sufficient vibration absorption on (bowstring,
shoulders, stops). This should be standard, but is not with other manufacturers.
* Resume:
For my piece, the cons outweigh the pros, but I'll still use it and see what it
lasts. Of course, I can't avoid replacing the scope, a new wrap for the
bowstring, the stock (it can hold up there), and there's nothing I can do
about the velocity.
* Crossbow 65%
* Optics 0%
* Bowstring 50%
Obviously we are talking about a cheap model, but the guarantee of some standard
should be kept, which here is questionable to say the least. These things happen
with other manufacturers and with much more expensive models, I guess it
depends on what piece lands in your hand. The PSE engineers certainly didn't do
quality control here.
It looks solid, the pulleys and body look like they could stand for something.
The optics are inoperable.
The 405 fps speed claimed by the manufacturer is not even REMOTELY true. (I'll elaborate below)
The wrap on the bowstring came undone on the second pull, i.e. it does not hold tightly together as it should.
