PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
For a tasty whiff of Italian Naples - the birthplace of pizza - you don't have to go far. Just get a pizza stone for your COBB grill and let your imagination run wild. An ordinary patio can take on the glamour of the southern Italian capital. The stone slab has a solid diameter of 27 cm and heats up under the lid for fifteen minutes. Baking then takes about the same amount of time, depending on the thickness of the dough.
The stone is made of Cordierite, which is resistant to thermal shock. Its porous nature draws moisture out of the dough, distributes heat evenly and helps prevent burning. The plate must be used with a COBB griddle and plate.
Use a fine scraper or spatula to remove food residue, then wipe the stone with a damp cloth. Avoid using detergents (they can change the taste of the food) and water (it gets into the pores and can damage the plate when heated). Food stains are quite common on this type of cookware.
Stone is relatively fragile, so it requires careful handling.
