PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
For a tasty whiff of Italian Naples – the birthplace of pizza – you don’t have to travel far. Just get a pizza stone for your COBB grill and let your imagination run wild. An ordinary terrace can suddenly gain the flair of a southern Italian metropolis. The stone plate has a solid diameter of 27 cm and heats up under the lid in fifteen minutes. Baking then takes approximately the same amount of time, depending on the thickness of the dough.
The stone is made of Cordierite, which is resistant to thermal shock. Its porous character draws moisture out of the dough, distributes heat evenly, and helps prevent burning. The plate must be used together with the COBB grill grid and plate.
To remove food residues, use a soft scraper or spatula and then wipe the stone with a damp cloth. Avoid using detergents (they can alter the taste of the food) and water (it can penetrate the pores and may damage the plate when heated). Food stains are completely normal for this type of cookware.
The stone is relatively fragile, so it requires careful handling.
