Czech manufacturer Meopta has more than 90 years of experience in the development of optical devices. That is why their riflescopes are recognized worldwide for perfect workmanship, exceptional durability and maximum reliability in any conditions.
The variable magnification riflescope series MeoStar R2 is designed for versatile use and, thanks to the lower magnification range, they are a perfect candidate for hunting purposes or target shooting at short to medium distances. The highly durable construction made of aircraft-grade aluminium is capable of withstanding all common hunting calibres, the nitrogen-filled tube prevents lens fogging during sudden temperature changes, and resistance to dust, rain and complete immersion hardly even needs to be mentioned. Protective flip-up lens covers are also included with the riflescope.
The optical system really offers a lot. The lenses are coated with anti-reflective layers providing light transmission of up to 95%. The external lenses additionally feature a MeoShield layer protecting the surface against scratches and a water-repellent MeoDrop layer. The etched reticle features red illumination with 8 intensity levels with the option of switching off in intermediate positions, or you can use the Auto-Off function, where the illumination automatically switches off after 3 hours. Power is supplied by a single CR2354 battery (1 pc included). With the supplied spacer ring, a more common CR2032 battery can also be used.
This model is equipped with a 4C reticle in the 2nd focal plane SFP (the reticle does not change depending on the magnification of the riflescope).
The adjustment turrets are capped (you need to unscrew the protective caps to adjust them). The scale of the Meopta riflescope adjustment turrets is in cm/100m. Dioptre correction in the range of ±3D is, of course, also available.
