Fenix CL23 is an outdoor lantern with a wide range of uses. Thanks to its high durability, weight of just 140 g and outstanding performance, it will be appreciated not only by hikers. The lantern’s maximum output is 300 lm and the beam distance reaches an impressive 20 metres.
The lantern is equipped with white and red LED diodes. The white diodes offer 6 different light modes with an output of 300 lm (runtime 7.5 h), 150 lm (runtime 13 h), 40 lm (runtime 45 h), side lighting 25 lm (runtime 80 h), bottom lighting 25 lm (runtime 80 h) or bottom lighting 2 lm (runtime 350 h). The red LED diodes then provide 1 lm either as constant light (runtime 150 h) or flashing (runtime 300 h).
It is powered by 3 AA batteries, which are included. In an emergency you can use fewer batteries, but the higher modes will not be available. Under the Fenix logo on the front of the lantern you will find the control button. Holding it down turns the lantern on and off. A short press when it is on switches between modes. A double-click when it is on switches the lantern to the red modes.
The lantern is made from rugged polymer, so it can easily withstand a drop from a height of 1 metre, meaning you don’t have to worry if it falls off a table. It also boasts an IP66 rating, so it will withstand even heavy rain. It has a hanging loop and a thread for mounting on a tripod.
