The manufacturer Kalibrgun has introduced the MiniCarabina model, which combines a classic long gun with the already well-known bullpup. The advantage of this hybrid is its still compact size and the use of a traditional wooden cheekpiece, which was missing on the Cricket model.
The stock is made of high-quality wood, just like the other models from this manufacturer. The stock is cut symmetrically and is therefore suitable for both right-handed and left-handed shooters. The entire wooden body is finished with a rubber butt pad, which is adjustable in the vertical direction. The trigger is housed under a wooden trigger guard. In this area there is also a manual safety against accidental discharge.
The rifle offers a large air capacity of 250 cm3. Filling is the same as with previous models, using a quickfill adapter. Behind the filling port there is only the gun’s pressure gauge. The working pressure of the rifle is 300 Bar. Česká Zbrojovka supplies a 450 mm barrel for this model, which has twelve grooves. The entire barrel is hidden under a sound moderator. Since the MiniCarabina does not have traditional iron sights, the manufacturer has used a standard 22 mm Weaver rail, which is 150 mm long.
The loading mechanism is the same as on previous models, so the magazines can be swapped as desired. On the right side there is a selector lever that can be moved to three positions: 1) for removing the magazine 2) manual rotation of the magazine 3) automatic rotation of the magazine.
Our experience: A unique opportunity to combine a short bullpup rifle with a classic model. We appreciate the traditional wooden cheekpiece, for which the customer does not have to pay extra. The stock fits well in the hands.
