The impregnation creates a thin film of silicon nanoparticles on the surface of the material, which is appropriate for membrane fabrics. However, it does not affect the characteristics of the clothing itself in any way, so breathability, insulation, etc. remain unchanged.
One sprayed layer can withstand up to ten washing cycles with water and five with washing powder. The protection renews itself after the material has dried.
