This time, however, they have chosen the opposite approach – they are introducing a digital riflescope with night vision that impresses with its low entry price while offering the same features as its much more expensive competitors. This makes it an invaluable tool for hunting or pest control at any time of day or night.
The ALPEX 4K Lite scope of course also works during the day, when it provides a standard colour image and thus functions as a classic riflescope. The night mode delivers an exceptionally clean and sharp image thanks to the advanced 4K UHD (3840x2160px) CMOS sensor and 40mm/F2.0 lens. The lens provides 3.5x optical magnification, which can be further digitally increased up to 20.5x. The resulting image is displayed on a FullHD (1920x1080px) screen with selectable refresh rate (50 Hz in 4K or 100 Hz in FullHD). Night mode offers 3 colour palettes (black and white, green, yellow). Dioptre adjustment in the range of ±5D is a matter of course.
The Hikmicro ALPEX device offers adaptive brightness boost even in low light. To use its full potential, however, we recommend purchasing any IR illuminator (infrared torch) with a suitable mount. In complete darkness, not even the best night vision device in the world will work.
This riflescope offers much more than just night mode – using the adjustment turrets and several cleverly placed buttons you can control functions such as "Picture-in-Picture", shot-activated recording, Hotspot, video and audio recording, screenshot and much more. Alternatively, you can connect the scope to the Hikmicro Sight mobile app, where you can not only control the device itself, but also stream the image in real time from the scope to your phone or simply record your movement in the field.
The designation "Lite" means that this is a lightweight version of its bigger sibling ALPEX 4K. Thanks to this, it weighs only 450 grams and is primarily designed for air rifles. However, it can withstand recoil equivalent to 1000g/0.4ms – so it is entirely up to you what firearm you use the device on. The entire construction with IP67 protection rating (waterproof and dustproof) is made from a magnesium alloy with black anodizing, the tube has the standard 30mm diameter and the whole device is able to operate even in extreme temperatures from -30°C to +55°C.
The power source is one removable 18650 battery and one built-in battery, which together provide up to 7.5 hours of continuous operation. This can be further extended by using the sleep function, which automatically switches the riflescope off when the firearm is laid on its side.
