The HM61R V2.0 model is equipped with high-transmission TIR optics and a Luminus SST-40 LED with a neutral light tint of 4500K and a lifetime of up to 50,000 hours. The flashlight can digitally regulate output and is therefore also protected against overheating. As is standard with Fenix products, there is also protection against reverse battery insertion.
The power source is a Li-ion Fenix 18650 battery with a capacity of 3400 mAh, which can be charged either via the magnetic connector on the headlamp, or through the integrated USB-C slot directly in the battery. In an emergency, two CR123A batteries can also be used. The battery status is indicated by an LED next to the control button.
The headlamp is made from an alloy of aircraft aluminium A6061-T6 with a type III hard-anodised surface finish, withstands a drop from a height of 2 metres and is waterproof to 2 metres for 30 minutes according to the IP68 standard.
