The lamp can digitally regulate the output of the light and is therefore protected against overheating. As usual with Fenix products, it is also protected against reverse battery insertion.
It is powered by a Li-ion battery Fenix 18650 3400 mAh, which can be recharged either via the magnetic connector on the headlamp or via the built-in USB-C slot inside the battery. Two CR123A batteries can also be used if necessary. An indicator LED in the control button informs you of the battery status.
The headlamp is made of aerospace grade aluminum alloy A6061-T6 with a hard anodizing type III coating, can withstand a fall from a height of 2 meters and is waterproof up to 2 meters for 30 minutes in compliance with IP68 standard.
