Garmin Alpha 100 GPS locator is an ideal helper for every dog handler who likes to give their furry friend a bit of freedom in nature. The set consists of a transmitter mounted on the T5 Mini collar and a receiver with a touchscreen display. When you use it, you gain a perfect overview of every step your dog takes during training, hunting drives or simple walks. The T5 Mini collar guarantees you perfect signal reception and dog tracking in all possible conditions. It is suitable for all dog breeds. Its maximum length is 47.5 cm (neck circumference from 24 cm to 35.5 cm).

With the Garmin Alpha device you can track up to 20 dogs at once (after purchasing additional collars), at a distance of up to 6.5 km. Information about the dog’s position will reach you with a delay of just 2.5 s. The receiver is powered by a Li-Ion battery with a capacity of 2,000 mAh and the transmitter in the collar is powered by an internal battery with a life of approx. 20 hours.

After pairing and basic setup of the device, a complete topographic map with the dog’s current position will be displayed on the receiver’s screen. At the same time, you gain an overview of the distance your dog has already run, how long it has been running and other statistical data. If your dog, for example, gets lost, you can track its position not only on the receiver’s display, but also from your PC.

Garmin Alpha 100 also includes a 3D compass, which makes it easy to find your furry friend even in completely unfamiliar surroundings. The device has a pre-installed TOPO Euro map. If you want a more detailed version, visit the Garmin.cz website. Then download the map to a micro SD card and insert it into the signal receiver. However, the pre-installed map version should be sufficient, whether you are walking in the city or in nature, in 42 European countries.

Garmin Alpha 100 also boasts several advanced functions that make your life much easier. One of these functions is “Rescue mode”. When activated, the collar switches to a power-saving mode so that the battery lasts as long as possible – until you find your dog. Another big advantage is the “Distance alerts” function, which lets you know when your dog has moved further away from you than the distance you have set. Thanks to the “Remote light” function, you can remotely switch on the LED in the collar, visible up to 90 metres. To extend battery life, the sleep mode, which you can switch on remotely from the receiver, is also very useful.
