GPS tracker Dogtrace DOG GPS X22 is the ideal assistant for every dog handler who likes to give their furry friend some freedom in nature. With this GPS tracker you can find your dog even at a distance of 20 km. It is most useful especially for hunting dogs that are trained from puppyhood to drive game. A major problem in this respect are roe deer, which let themselves be chased by the dog and always wait for it until it almost catches up. They choose this tactic precisely in order to protect the rest of the herd from the dog. A roe deer can drag a dog away by several kilometres. After that, finding your dog becomes very difficult.

The collar has a universal size, so it easily fits both a German shepherd and a dachshund. The device consists of a receiver and two small lightweight transmitters with collars. On the receiver you can monitor both the distance that separates you from the dog and the correct direction. You can adjust the sound volume and vibrations. The transmitter obtains its position from GPS satellites. Using a radio frequency signal (RF), it processes the information about the dog’s position and then sends the data to the receiver. On the display you can also monitor the strength of the RF signal, the accuracy of the GPS and the battery status of both transmitter and receiver.

DOG GPS X22 also boasts functions such as Fence and Beeper. Fence represents an adjustable distance limit between the receiver and the transmitter. When your dog crosses it, the receiver beeps. Thanks to this function you know that your dog is moving further away from you than it should, and you can call it back. The Beeper function then tells you whether your dog is standing still or running.

The receiver is orange. Both transmitter and receiver are made of high‑quality materials. A big advantage is its waterproof design and long battery life – more than 40 hours. A power adapter with USB cable and charging clip for the GPS is included. Unlike competing collars, where you pay a flat fee for usage, purchasing the Dogtrace GPS is only a one‑time investment. You therefore do not pay any additional fees for signal registration. GPS X22, unlike classic GPS devices, does not display maps. Instead, it works on the principle of displaying a compass and the exact distance of the dog from the owner.
