GPS locator Dogtrace DOG GPS X22 is the ideal helper for every dog handler who likes to give their furry friend a bit of freedom in nature. With this GPS locator, you can find your dog even at a distance of 20 km. It is most useful especially for hunting dogs, which are trained from an early age to drive game. A big problem in this respect are particularly roe deer, which let themselves be chased by the dog and always wait for it until it almost catches up with them. They choose this tactic precisely in order to protect the rest of the herd from the dog. A roe deer can drag a dog several kilometres away. Then it will be very difficult for you to find the dog.

The collar has a universal size, so it easily fits both a German Shepherd and a Dachshund. The device consists of a receiver and two small lightweight transmitters with collars. On the receiver you can monitor both the distance that separates you from the dog and the correct direction. You can set the sound volume and vibration. The transmitter obtains its position from GPS satellites. Using a radio frequency signal (RF), it processes the information about the dog’s position and then sends the data to the receiver. On the display you can also monitor the strength of the RF signal, the accuracy of the GPS and the battery status of both the transmitter and the receiver.

DOG GPS X22 also boasts functions such as Fence and Beeper. Fence is an adjustable distance boundary between the receiver and the transmitter. When your dog crosses it, the receiver beeps. Thanks to this function, you know that your dog is moving farther away from you than it should and you can call it back. The Beeper function then tells you whether your dog is standing still or running.

The receiver comes in a dark camo colour. The transmitter and receiver are made of high‑quality materials. A major advantage is its waterproof design and long battery life – more than 40 hours. A power adapter with USB cable and a charging clip for GPS are included in the package. Unlike competing collars, where you pay a flat fee for use, buying the GPS Dogtrace is a one‑time investment only. You do not pay any extra money for signal registration. Unlike standard GPS units, GPS X22 does not display maps. Instead, it works on the principle of displaying a compass and the exact distance of the dog from the owner.
