With this GPS locator you can find your dog even at a distance of 20 km. It is most useful especially for hunting dogs that are trained from puppyhood to chase game. A major problem in this respect is roe deer, which let themselves be chased by the dog and always wait for it until it almost catches up. They choose this tactic precisely to protect the rest of the herd from the dog. A roe deer can draw a dog away by several kilometres. Then it becomes very difficult to find it.
The collar has a universal size, so it easily fits both a German Shepherd and a Dachshund. The device consists of a receiver and one small lightweight transmitter with a collar. On the receiver you can monitor both the distance between you and the dog and the correct direction. You can set the sound volume and vibration. The transmitter obtains its position from GPS satellites. Using a radio frequency signal (RF), it processes the information about the dog’s position and then transmits the data to the receiver. On the display you can also monitor the strength of the RF signal, the accuracy of the GPS and the battery status of both transmitter and receiver.
DOG GPS X20 also boasts functions such as Fence and Beeper. Fence represents an adjustable distance limit between receiver and transmitter. When your dog crosses it, the receiver beeps. Thanks to this function, you know that your dog is moving farther away from you than it should and you can call it back. The Beeper function then tells you whether your dog is standing still or running.
The receiver comes in a dark camo colour. Both transmitter and receiver are made of high-quality materials. A major advantage is its waterproof design and long battery life – more than 40 hours. A power adapter with USB cable and charging clip for the GPS is included in the package. Unlike competing collars that charge a flat fee for usage, buying the Dogtrace GPS is only a one-time investment. You do not pay any extra money for signal registration. GPS X20, unlike classic GPS devices, does not display maps. Instead, it works on the principle of displaying a compass and the exact distance of the dog from the owner. All parts of the DOG GPS X20 device, such as the receiver, RF antenna, additional collar with transmitter, RF antenna for collar or power adapter with USB cable and charging clip for GPS, can be purchased separately.
