Their air rifles are already renowned all over the world. This time, however, they have come up with something truly unique – an air rifle whose air cylinder wraps around the barrel.
Air rifles of the FX DRS series thus resemble sniper rifles at first glance. This impression is further enhanced by the modernised HP power plenum protruding from the underside, which makes it look like a magazine. The actual magazine, however, is as usual inserted into a slot in the middle of the classic 11mm dovetail rail for a riflescope and holds projectiles up to 11.3mm long (0.45").
Superior Smooth Twist X – As is customary with FX products, the barrel rifling is formed from the outside. The result is an exceptionally smooth internal surface, which minimises friction during the shot. The cylinder that runs around the barrel also serves as a jacket, a so‑called shroud, which stiffens the entire air rifle and reduces oscillations during the shot. The outer diameter of the shroud is 34 mm. For optional installation of a sound moderator, the muzzle is equipped with a standard 1/2UNF thread.
To maintain the sleek appearance of the whole air rifle, the adjustment elements of the AMP MkII regulator and the hammer spring have been moved inside the stock, which must be removed to make any adjustments. However, the air rifle is factory‑tuned to provide the best balance of power, accuracy and air consumption with most commonly available ammunition straight out of the box.
This model is fitted with a symmetrical polymer stock with an unusually smooth surface finish, a fixed cheekpiece and a fixed buttpad made of soft rubber. The sidelever is permanently located on the right side, as is the lever‑type manual safety. On the left side there is a manometer indicating the current pressure in the cylinder, and the fully adjustable trigger with variable blade position almost goes without saying.
NOTE: The muzzle energy and muzzle velocity values were achieved with the air rifle set to maximum power and under ideal conditions. Actual values may therefore differ.
NOTE: With this air rifle, it is necessary to pay attention to the remaining pressure in the cylinder. We recommend keeping the pressure at approximately 150 bar or higher. If the pressure drops below the regulator’s set value, the rifle may be completely vented.

The air rifle has very good workmanship of metal parts and also the plastic does
not give a cheap impression. Power output with JSB Exact King 6,35mm 1,645g
is – 59J and with JSB Exact King Heavy 6,35mm 2,20g it was – 62,9J.
I haven't tested the accuracy yet as it's cold and can't sit still for long.
