Thanks to its high durability, weight of only 147 g including the battery and exceptional parameters, it will be loved not only by hunters or members of the IZS, but also by sportsmen of all kinds from cavers to climbers, cyclists or hikers.
The headlamp has two independent reflectors. The narrow long-range one with up to 1000 lumens and the wide one for illuminating closer objects with up to 400 lm. The main reflector has a LED Cree XM-L2 U2 light source and reach up to 163 m. It has 4 different light modes of 1000 lm (4 hrs endurance), 400 lm (22 hrs endurance), 130 lm (42 hrs endurance) and 50 lm (97 hrs endurance). The wide spotlight boasts a Cree XP-G2 R5 light source and a range of up to 55 m. It has 3 light modes of 400 lm (21 h duration), 130 lm (50 h duration) and 400 lm (lasts 300 h).
You can freely combine the two reflectors to achieve the ideal light, or a maximum output of 1400 lm when using both reflectors at full power. They are powered by a rechargeable 3,500 mAh 18650 battery, which is charged via a USB-C connector. However, in case of emergency, you can replace it with two CR123A batteries. The headlamp has a simple control on the top with a battery status indicator. A long press of the button is used to switch the respective spotlight on and off. A short squeeze in the on state then switches between modes. A long press of both buttons in off mode locks the headlamp and protects the battery from unwanted triggering in the backpack.
Compared to competing headlamps, the HM65R has the advantage of a durable magnesium alloy construction. It is one third lighter than the commonly used aluminium alloy. The headlamp resists drops from a height of 2 metres, so you don't have to worry about it falling off your head. It also boasts an IP68 rating. It is therefore dustproof and waterproof to a depth of 2 metres.
