For maximum effectiveness, create a „sandwich“ by placing cleaning felt
between two bullets.
First, place the lightest bullet in the barrel and gently push it into the
barrel with a match to a depth of about 1 cm.
Then place this oil-soaked piece of felt in the empty space below the bullet you
just loaded.
Finally, place another, very light bullet in the barrel below them.
You'll end up with a „sandwich“—the first bullet, then the oil-soaked
felt, and then the second bullet.
When fired, the bottom bullet will press against the felt. The top bullet will
compress the felt, pushing out the oil and pressing it against the barrel walls.
This helps remove lead effectively.
In very weak pistols (Weyrauch 75 or Biman 17), this „sandwich“ may not
exit the barrel and will remain there. Therefore, this method is also applicable
to more powerful rifles and pistols.
