Beautifully and precisely crafted air rifle you can fully rely on. The trigger
is adjustable sideways, as is its pull weight.
Evanix is among the top manufacturers on the market for PCP airguns. Blizzard SL is very similar to the Rainstorm SL model. The only differences are the overall length, barrel length, and air cylinder capacity. This model is loaded via a classic side lever. Thanks to this design, loading is very fast. At first glance, you will notice the beautifully crafted wooden stock, made from Turkish sepetia wood. The shape of the cheekpiece is universal, so it can be used by both left- and right-handed shooters.
You will certainly appreciate the vertically adjustable rubber buttpad. This rifle model is equipped with the new type of magazines, which have been upgraded, making reloading easier and preventing jams. The magazines are always pre-wound when inserting pellets, so there is no need for a mechanism to rotate the magazines. You can find a similar system on Daystate rifles.
Blizzard SL is not equipped with open sights, so we recommend purchasing a quality riflescope. A 11mm mounting rail is provided for attaching the scope. The rifle is equipped with a pressure gauge (manometer), which allows you to monitor the usable pressure in the air cylinder. This way you can estimate the number of remaining shots. We recommend filling to a maximum pressure of 230 bar. The air cylinder volume is 280 ccm.
During shooting you will not need to reload constantly; the 5.5mm calibre air rifle is equipped with a 10-shot pellet magazine. Of course, the manufacturer has also included a safety to prevent accidental discharge, so your safety is taken care of. Another advantage is that you can adjust both the trigger pull weight and trigger position.
There are few things you can truly rely on, but one of them is this rifle. The rifles are manufactured for high power levels of up to around 60 Joules. For our market, the power is limited to 16J. The 5.5mm calibre is mainly intended for hunting or destructive shooting. For target shooting we recommend the 4.5mm calibre.
Practical experience: The Rainstorm and Blizzard models are absolute bestsellers within the EVANIX brand. As they have been in production for 10 years already, all the so‑called bugs have been ironed out. For us, the clear positives are the simple design and excellent handling. The accuracy is comparable to more expensive models. Another advantage is that they are structurally designed for much higher power levels. The only drawback is the absence of a pressure regulator for even more precise shooting; however, this can be purchased separately. If you do not mind the higher weight and length of the rifle, a clear advantage of this model is the higher shot count per fill. Accuracy is comparable to the Rainstorm models.
