It doesn’t have the word speed in its name for nothing. You will fall in love with rapid fire without the need to reload; pellets will be hitting the target one after another as fast as you can pull the trigger.
The Air Speed Gen.2 immediately grabs attention with its polymer thumbhole stock. It offers very pleasant ergonomics and surface finish, and allows comfortable shouldering for both right- and left-handed shooters. The air supply is provided by a 280cc air cylinder with a maximum working pressure of 250 bar. You can check the remaining pressure on the manometer at the front of the cylinder. Right behind it is the filling port. The barrel has not seen any changes compared to the first generation either. Its length is 500 mm and it is protected by a shroud that partially suppresses the shot noise. Those who want to be whisper-quiet can additionally mount any sound moderator with a 1/2 UNF thread.
A very welcome change is the safety, as the one on the first generation really didn’t turn out well. The manufacturer has therefore moved it from the trigger guard area to the left side of the action, where you no longer have to wrestle with it. It has two positions – fire and safe. On the left side of the action there is also a small power adjustment wheel.
The trigger is typical for all Korean semi-autos. It does not allow for finer adjustment and you need a bit of time to get used to it. It’s a small price to pay for such fast shooting. You will empty the magazine in no time, and the manufacturer took this into account and included two magazines with the air rifle. The rifle has no open sights; a 22mm Weaver rail is provided for mounting optics.
