The Epic designers are now coming with something a bit more classic – the ONE Walnut series with an elegantly shaped walnut stock.
Introducing EPIC ONE – the new icon from the world-famous company EPIC AIRGUNS based in the Czech Republic. The EPIC team has capitalised on all experience gained from the production of the successful TWO model and transformed it into its compact bullpup successor. The high manufacturing quality is evident from every angle – for example, the main monoblock of the air rifle is machined from a single piece of metal on a 5-axis CNC machine.
This bullpup boasts a new adjustable HIGH-POWER balanced valve which guarantees maximum power with minimum hammer spring tension, making it easier to cock the side lever. At the same time, it reduces air waste and thus increases the shot count per fill. The hammer preload can be adjusted externally using a screw located above the buttpad.
The air cylinder with a maximum working pressure of up to 300 bar (4350 PSI) can be filled using the supplied fill probe with a standard 1/8” diameter compatible with a standard quick coupling. The rifle is equipped with 2 manometers – one indicating the current pressure in the cylinder, the other for the pressure in the externally adjustable regulator, which can be set with the included tool in the range from 50 to 190 bar (always follow the instructions in the manual).
To achieve an even more consistent muzzle velocity, the regulator is complemented by a large power plenum (63cc for the 420mm barrel version and 95cc for the 550mm and 700mm barrels).
EPIC ONE air rifles are fitted with a non-choked CZUB barrel (Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod) with 12 grooves and a 1:17.7” twist. The muzzle end is equipped with a 1/2UNF thread for mounting a sound moderator. The carbon shroud serves to stiffen the barrel and also allows barrel pre-tensioning (harmonic tuning).
Air rifles with 420mm and 550mm barrel length are additionally fitted with an integrated K-Baffle type sound moderator, also ending with a 1/2UNF thread.
On the 700mm barrel version, after unscrewing the segment with the 1/2UNF thread and exposing the M27x1 thread, it is compatible with the EPIC AIRGUNS sound moderator or with the muzzle brake.
Thanks to the barrel kit, you can freely change the barrel length and the overall calibre of the air rifle. The set includes everything needed (barrel, carbon shroud with M27x1 thread, moderator adapter 1/2UNF, 1/2UNF thread protector, transfer port and loading probe).
To achieve the best results with heavy pellets and slugs, a barrel kit with a non-choked polygonal Lothar Walther barrel is also available (6 grooves with 1:17.7” twist).
The ONE series is equipped with a new pre-tensioned magazine with magnetically closed cover. To load it, simply rotate the inner part and insert the first round, which locks the rotary mechanism. Thanks to its compact size, the magazine does not spoil the overall appearance of the rifle and does not get in the way when handling. In addition, it holds projectiles up to 14mm long.
Thanks to the smart bullpup design, the ONE model offers exceptionally compact dimensions while the rifle remains perfectly balanced. Proper cheek weld is provided by a rubberised cheekpiece, which can be freely moved along the 11mm dovetail rail running along the entire main block of the air rifle. The elevated Picatinny rail canted by up to 30 MOA is also adjustable, making it easier to zero the scope for shooting at extreme distances.
Instead of an adjustable aluminium buttpad, the Walnut series proudly features a walnut wood stock, manufactured by the renowned Czech company KLINSKY, finished down to the smallest detail. The selected wood has a unique grain pattern, so each rifle is in its own way one of a kind. If you already own the standard EPIC ONE version, you can purchase the wooden stock separately here.
You can also purchase the Top Rail EPIC ONE – a tuning Picatinny rail with multiple M-LOK slots on the sides, or an Arca-Swiss mounting platform for versions with a 580cc and 300cc carbon bottle.
To mount additional accessories, you can use the two short Anschütz UIT rails on the sides of the barrel.
Trigger mechanism has been fine-tuned down to the last detail. Using several screws, you can adjust the trigger pull weight, first and second stage travel, as well as the height and rotation of the trigger blade. The reliable lever safety is located directly in front of the trigger, so you do not have to take your eyes off the target when disengaging the safety. The easily reversible side lever with an extremely smooth action is already a matter of course on EPIC air rifles.
EPIC ONE Walnut is available in three construction variants:
