Thanks to its wide magnification range, it is suitable both for range training and for demanding target and tactical shooting.
The heart of this model is the APR-2D MRAD reticle in the first focal plane (FFP). When changing magnification, the size of the reticle changes together with the image, so all MRAD values and reference points remain valid across the entire magnification range. This allows the shooter to comfortably use advanced bullet drop and windage estimates without recalculations.
The optical system with a 50mm objective lens offers a bright and contrast-rich image. The manufacturer uses multi-coating anti-reflective layers on the lenses for better light transmission and glare reduction, which facilitates aiming in variable lighting conditions. The tube is constructed as a one-piece, fully sealed and nitrogen-filled design to increase resistance against fogging and moisture.
The 6–24× magnification range covers both detailed aiming at longer distances and comfortable work at medium ranges. Zoom control is smooth, with a clearly readable scale. The side turret is designed for parallax adjustment from 10 meters to infinity, allowing the shooter to focus the target and minimize parallax error over a wide distance range.
The elevation and windage turrets are designed for MRAD click adjustments with distinct tactile feedback and clear markings. The Helix GEN2 utilizes a zero-stop system, which allows setting the initial zero position after sighting in and quickly returning to it. The controls are designed so the shooter can adjust settings even while wearing gloves without losing track of the current turret positions.
The scope is built for use on more powerful bolt-action or PCP platforms, with a body resistant to recoil and mechanical stresses from frequent handling. The tube’s surface finish ensures good scratch resistance and does not reflect unwanted light, which is advantageous for tactical and sporting use.
