It is literally a masterpiece from the Russian designers led by Eduard Gafarov himself. They simply took everything good from the first Leshiy and set out to fulfil the dreams and wishes of customers. Leshiy II has thus evolved from an originally single-shot air rifle into a semi-automatic beast.
Leshiy means “Spirit of the Forest”. And this air rifle is just as dangerous as the mentioned Slavic demon. Thanks to its compact dimensions and low weight it is very easy to store and carry. It fits comfortably in a backpack, yet it is extremely powerful and accurate. Add to that the semi-automatic firing mode and an eight-shot magazine, and it is immediately clear that it has no competition among PCP air rifles.
All the air supply is contained in the air cylinder, which also serves as the stock. In the basic configuration it holds a total of 198 cm3 of air, but thanks to the modular design it can be replaced with a larger one. Filling is done via a quickfill, which only needs to be inserted into the port in the buttpad of the stock. The port is cleverly protected by a cap against dirt. The pressure in the cylinder is shown by a clear manometer recessed in the buttpad.
The magazine has a capacity of 8 shots and its placement is truly unconventional. To insert or remove it, the stock must first be folded. This is done via a simple control lever easily reachable by a finger on the right side of the action. The ergonomics of the Leshiy II are at a high level. The comfortable pistol grip is compatible with the AR15 standard. The manual safety is located in front of the sport-style trigger.
A distinctive feature is the sound moderator, which hides part of the 350mm barrel. The manufacturer also openly states that both the barrel and the moderator can be very easily replaced with longer ones. As there are no iron sights on the gun, it must be equipped with a suitable riflescope. For this purpose, there is a 22mm weaver rail. A second weaver rail is located on the underside of the frame and allows easy mounting of a bipod.
