Double-Barreled Derringer Replica, USA 1866

Decorative replica of a pocket double-barrel pistol from the second half of the 19th century. The metal construction with a brass-look finish is complemented by imitation mother-of-pearl grip panels. The two barrels are arranged one above the other, and the replica features a movable mechanism simulating the operation of the firearm.

Historical original

Remington Double Derringer, also known as the Elliot derringer or later as the Model 95, was an American two-shot pocket pistol with vertically arranged barrels. The design was created by William H. Elliot, and production by Remington began in 1866 and continued until 1935. The historical firearm used .41 rimfire ammunition, and its barrels tipped upwards for loading.
