Dogtrace aportovací dumbbell obedience 650 g is one of the basic training aids for teaching retrieving, not only for hunting dogs. It is ideal for training for sport cynology competitions. It meets the conditions of the International FCI trial rules. The weight and dimensions of the dumbbell are linked to the breed size and age of the specific dog. It is always better to start with a lighter retrieve and add more weight gradually.
This wooden dumbbell is suitable for medium breeds. You will always find the exact weight required for a given trial in the competition rule book. The length of the connecting grip is 12 cm, with a total length of 18.5 cm. The dumbbell has a rounded plate on both sides with dimensions of 12x12x3.5 cm. Thanks to the rounding, the dumbbell can roll a little after impact. If you are unable to get the dog interested in retrieving the dumbbell, try teaching it first with hollow training aids in which you can hide treats, and then gradually retrain it to use the dumbbell.
