Dogtrace aport dumbbell obedience 2000 g is one of the basic training aids for teaching retrieve, not only for hunting dogs. It is ideal for training for sport cynology competitions. It meets the requirements of the International FCI Trial Regulations. The weight and dimensions of the dumbbell depend on the breed size and the age of the specific dog. It is always better to start with a lighter retrieve object and gradually increase the weight.
This wooden dumbbell is suitable for medium and large breeds. You will always find the exact weight required for a given trial in the competition regulations. The length of the connecting grip is 11.5 cm, with a total length of 29.5 cm. The dumbbell has rounded plates on both sides with dimensions of 12.5x12.5x9 cm. Thanks to the rounding, the dumbbell can roll a little after impact. If you are unable to get your dog interested in the retrieve, try teaching it with hollow aids in which you can hide treats, and then gradually retrain it to use the dumbbell.
