Dogtrace 650 g retrieving dumbbell is one of the basic training aids for teaching retrieve. Ideal for training for sport dog competitions. The weight and dimensions of the dumbbell depend on the size of the breed and the age of the specific dog. It is always better to start with a lighter retrieve object and gradually increase the weight.
This wooden dumbbell is suitable for medium breeds. The exact weight required for a specific trial can always be found in the competition regulations. The length of the connecting grip is 8.5 cm, with a total length of 26.5 cm. The dumbbell has a block on each side with dimensions of 7.5x7.5x9 cm. If you are not managing to attract your dog to the retrieve, try teaching it with hollow training aids into which you can hide treats and then gradually retrain it to the dumbbell.
