PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Dogtrace d-control 642 is a set of 2 electronic training collars suitable for all dog breeds. The collar emits an acoustic signal and you can use the light signal to locate your dog in the dark. Unlike most collars, d-control model 642 does not emit electric stimulation impulses, but vibrations. In open terrain the collar has a range of up to 600 m. It is supplied in a plastic transport case.
The collar offers several different modes: 8 light modes and 5 different types of vibration. The light modes are not intended for giving commands. Such signalling would be too demanding for the dog. Dogs that are sensitive to electric impulses or deaf dogs get an opportunity for another training aid. By using different types of vibration, you can teach the dog correct commands.
The collar significantly facilitates training and allows you not only to teach the dog, but also to unlearn bad habits. It is recommended only for basic training. The manufacturer does not recommend vibrations for correcting unwanted behaviour, because in most cases they are not sufficient. The dog can easily and quickly learn to walk to heel without a lead, to come when called and, if your dog is responsive, also to interrupt unwanted activities.
The collar is also waterproof, so you do not need to worry if your dog jumps into the water. Handling it is very simple. The collars have a black and red adjustable woven strap 75 cm long, on which the receiver is placed. The receiver also emits an acoustic signal, light and vibrations. The receiver weighs only 55 g and is powered by one CR2 3V battery.
The control is also very simple. The transmitter has 8 buttons, one for switching on and off, one for emitting an acoustic signal, one for sending vibrations, one for the light function and others for selecting the vibration and light levels. With buttons 1 and 2 you can switch between two different dogs. One transmitter is therefore used for two different collars. The transmitter weighs only 88 g and is powered by two AA batteries. Battery life can reach up to 1 year depending on how often the collar is used.
