Dogtrace d-control 640 collar

Dogtrace d-control 640 is an electronic training collar that is suitable for all dog breeds. The collar emits an acoustic signal and you can use the light signal to find your dog in the dark. Unlike most d-control collars, the 640 model does not emit electrical stimulation pulses, but vibrations. In the open, the collar has a range of up to 600 m. It comes with a plastic transport case.

The collar has several different modes: 8 light modes and 5 different vibration modes. The light modes are not used to give instructions. For a dog, such signalling would be too demanding. Dogs sensitive to electrical impulses or deaf dogs are given the opportunity for an additional training aid. By using different types of vibration, you can teach your dog the correct commands.

The collar will make it much easier to train and at the same time you can not only teach the dog, but also unlearn bad habits. It is recommended to use only for basic training. The manufacturer does not recommend vibration for correcting undesirable behavior, as it is not sufficient in most cases. The dog will quickly and easily learn to walk at your feet without a leash, to run on command and, if you have a receptive dog, to interrupt unwanted activities.

The collar is also waterproof, so you don't have to worry if your dog jumps into the water. Handling it is very simple. The collar has a drawstring woven black strap 75 cm long on which the receiver is placed. The collar also emits an acoustic signal, light and vibration. The receiver weighs only 55 g and is powered by a single CR2 3V battery.

Operation is also very simple. There are 8 buttons on the controller, one for power on and off, one for the beep, one for sending vibrations, one for the light function and another for selecting the vibration and light levels. Buttons 1 and 2 can be used to switch between two different dogs. One controller can therefore also be used for two different collars. The controller weighs only 88 g and is powered by two AA batteries. Battery life can reach up to 1 year depending on the frequency of use of the collar.
