New videos and reviews every day 6000+ reviews from our customers The compound crossbow Barnett Hyper Explorer XP405 is practically indistinguishable from its related model XP405, but it differs in one fundamental aspect – for shooting it uses narrow-profile HyperFlite bolts, which excel in deeper penetration, lower wind sensitivity, and higher kinetic energy. In addition, this type of bolt has made it possible to reduce the size of the limbs, so the crossbow is even easier to handle.
To make shooting comfortable for everyone regardless of body size, this crossbow can be adjusted by setting the stock length. While shooting, your fingers are protected by a special guard, so you can fully concentrate on the target. Between shots or after cocking, you can also secure the string with a ambidextrous safety. Thanks to the front rest and pistol grip you will always achieve a stable shooting position, which you will appreciate, for example, when hunting and you need to shoulder the crossbow quickly.
You will achieve the best results with 22" HyperFlite bolts which, after release, reach a muzzle velocity of up to 405 fps (123 m/s) thanks to a draw weight of 213 lb. With an overall length of 81 cm and a limb width of 25 cm, you can easily take this crossbow to a high seat or into a hunting blind.
