Historical original
Griswold & Gunnison was a Confederate percussion revolver manufactured in Griswoldville, Georgia, from 1862 to 1864. Its design was based on the Colt 1851 Navy revolver; the original firearm had a .36 caliber, a six-chamber cylinder and a brass frame. The factory produced approximately 3,700 revolvers before it was destroyed by Union troops in 1864.
