Colt Peacemaker 7.5" Replica, USA 1873 – grey is a decorative version of the revolver known as the Peacemaker, or Single Action Army. The replica combines metal and wood, has a grey finish and is equipped with a simulated loading and firing mechanism with a rotating cylinder.

Replica construction

The construction uses metal and wooden parts. The movable cylinder rotates during handling; the mechanism also simulates cocking, loading and firing without allowing actual shooting.

The version with a 7.5" barrel is based on one of the period lengths of the historic Peacemaker revolver. The replica has an overall length of 35 cm and weighs 1 020 g.

Historical original

The historical original is the Colt Model 1873 Single Action Army, also known as the Peacemaker. This American revolver appeared in 1873, and surviving museum examples are listed, among other calibres, in .45; the historical model was produced with several barrel lengths, including the 7.5" version.
