Trail Camera Bunaty Full HD with GSM

The Bunaty Full HD trail camera is a reasonably priced choice among large and small trail cameras. At night, under ideal conditions, the camera can illuminate the scene with an invisible (IR) flash with a range of 25 metres. Photos are taken at a maximum resolution of up to 12 MPx and video in Full HD. The camera saves data (photos and videos) to an SD card with a maximum capacity of 32 GB. Once the maximum capacity of the inserted SD card is reached, the camera will either stop recording or will overwrite old recordings.

As the name suggests, this is a trail camera that can send data to a phone. The cost of sending photos is around 50 CZK per month for an unlimited number of sent photos. The manufacturer supplies each Bunaty trail camera with GSM with a free rechargeable SIM card, for which you do not have to sign any contracts. You only need to top up the credit according to how you use the camera. If you choose the photo+video mode, the camera will send a photo to your phone and at the same time record a video, which is then stored on the SD card.

The trail camera is powered by eight AA batteries (8xAA). It can also be powered from an external source. The external connector input is located on the bottom of the camera. Many competitors illogically place the input connector on the top, which very often leads to moisture entering the electronics. The camera can be switched to three different modes: off, on and test. The first two are clear — camera off and on. In test mode you then set everything according to your requirements. Another advantage is the 3D camouflage and the minimum of shiny surfaces, thanks to which the camera can be easily concealed.

The biggest advantage of this trail camera is the relatively large colour LCD display and six clearly labelled buttons, which are placed inside a metal protective housing. These two elements significantly simplify setting the various functions of the camera. Another major plus is the clear Czech menu. The LCD display is also a great help when positioning the camera itself. You do not have to wait a long time for the first shot to find out that you have only managed to capture the thief’s legs. The final view is visible immediately after switching to the on mode. For 45 seconds the display shows exactly what the lens is capturing. During this time you must position the camera.

In the menu you can set quite a lot of different functions. The trail camera can take one, two or up to three images in quick succession. You can also set the length of the recorded video from a few seconds up to ten minutes. Keep in mind that the longer the video, the more space it will take up on the SD card. Unlike some competing models, you can record video with sound. If you go through the menu carefully, you will find that you can also set the motion sensor sensitivity and the IR illumination level.

Particularly noteworthy is the recording interval, i.e. the time between individual shots. So if you set it to five minutes and the sensor detects movement for 14 minutes, it will take three images. The trail camera can also be used for time-lapse. Alternatively, you can set it to be active only at night. You can even password protect the camera to prevent unauthorised access.
