In the Czech Republic, however, you can only use it for target shooting. Even so, it offers a very impressive experience. This crossbow boasts parameters usually found in significantly more expensive products. Particularly impressive is the kinetic energy generated when the bolt is released, reaching 160.8 J.
To even be able to shoot a bolt, you need to exert a draw weight of 180 lb (over 80 kg) and pull the string back just under 40 cm. Then all you need to do is load the crossbow with a bolt ideally 22" in length, aim, release the safety, and fire. The bolt will then be propelled at a maximum speed of 375 fps (114 m/s) and hit the target. Imagine being hit by a car travelling at 410 km/h. There would be nothing left of you. That is exactly the speed a bolt shot from the Whitetail Hunter STR crossbow reaches. There is very little that can prevent it from hitting its target.
The camo colour finish of the crossbow naturally suggests its use in the great outdoors. The pistol grip in turn ensures safe shooting and a secure hold of the weapon. Safety is also enhanced by the TriggerTech technology. It not only links the anti‑dry‑fire safety and the trigger, but also checks whether the bolts are correctly seated. It also ensures the bolts are launched with minimal, ideally no friction, which would otherwise unnecessarily slow them down.
The crossbow is supplied as a kit that you have to assemble yourself. However, this is not a demanding task and you can complete it within a few minutes. With the crossbow you also get a crossbow scope 4x32 multi reticle, two 22" Barnett carbon bolts, a bolt quiver, a rope cocking device, and string wax. You therefore do not need to buy any additional items (perhaps just more bolts and a shoulder quiver) and you can start shooting. Do pay attention, though, to where you will be shooting.
