Barnett Explorer XP370 belongs among the compound crossbows suitable for hunting. It is no surprise that the American brand Barnett is a top player on the market. You can immediately see the difference between this brand and cheaper crossbows of Chinese production. High-quality, durable black polymer, a metal trigger and a CNC‑machined aluminium arrow flight groove together create a precise crossbow.
With a draw weight of 165 lb it ranks among very powerful crossbows. Fired bolts leave the limbs at a speed of 370 fps, i.e. over 110 m/s. To outrun a bolt, you would have to reach a speed exceeding 400 km/h. The release of the bolts is ensured by TriggerTech technology, which also minimises friction of the bolt in the crossbow. The bolt thus leaves the crossbow very quickly and heads straight to the target.
Safety is ensured by a clearly visible and easily accessible safety on both sides of the crossbow. A comfortable grip on the forearm is protected by a finger guard. A string dampener in turn provides quiet shooting.
The crossbow also boasts a manually adjustable stock length with a rubber buttpad. Thanks to this, it can be adapted even to shooters with an atypical build. You unlock the stock by pressing the latch on the underside of the stock. You therefore do not need any special tools for adjustment.
The crossbow is equipped with a raised 22 mm Weaver rail, to which the manufacturer has already mounted a red dot sight. In the front part of the body you will find three additional 22 mm rails for mounting accessories such as a bolt holder or a flashlight. The package includes, in addition to the crossbow sight and holder for 3 bolts, also a cocking rope, string wax and two 20" carbon bolts.
