This model differs significantly from the classic version at first glance – the metal slide on both sides features cut-outs revealing the barrel with a rose-gold surface finish and is complemented by pronounced serrations for easy racking. The front and rear sights are equipped with a fiber optic rod to make aiming easier even in low light, and the rear sight is adjustable for elevation and windage.
Another characteristic feature is the textured grip made of high-quality polymer, which does not slip even in a sweaty hand. The frame of the gun is also made of metal and is complemented by polymer parts such as the trigger guard, functional grip safety, and trigger. For optional installation of a laser or flashlight there is a standardized Picatinny rail with 5 slots located under the barrel.
As with most CO2 pistols in this price range, the slide is movable and features a Blowback system (when fired, the slide moves backwards, imitating the recoil of the live-fire version).
Other functions include the already mentioned automatic grip safety, which prevents a shot from being fired if the pistol is not held correctly, an ambidextrous manual slide safety preventing a shot even with the hammer cocked, and the icing on the cake is definitely the realistic field stripping (the pistol can be disassembled into individual parts such as slide, frame and barrel just like the real version, without the need for any tools).
The pistol is powered by one 12 g cartridge, which is inserted into the metal magazine with a capacity of 20 steel BBs in 4.5 mm caliber. The supplied Allen key is used to tighten and pierce the cartridge.
Since the gun is powered by CO2 cartridges, the rubber seals may, over time, become brittle and crack due to the freezing carbon dioxide. You can prevent this by occasional application of silicone oil: 1) in spray form, simply spraying the internal mechanism, 2) applying a few drops of silicone oil to the neck of the inserted cartridge, 3) using an oil cartridge (the easiest option). At the same time, we do not recommend leaving a pierced cartridge in the gun longer than necessary. If you know you will not be shooting for some time, release the pressure by loosening the valve.

Machine translation
Right from the first shooting, I noticed that you shoot one magazine—20
BBs—per one CO2 cartridge. It’s true that the CO2 consumption must be
higher because the slide is metal and the BLOW BACK „consumes“ some CO2.
Just to be sure, I tried the gold ASG cartridge from the set with the oil
cartridge. The result? Almost double the number of shots. The first cartridge
was the „classic“ ASG silver one. Maybe I just got a bad batch of silver
cartridges, but I don’t really believe that. So, prepare for higher
consumption. But the pistol is simply BEAUTIFUL. So you’ll forgive it.
Review update:
1) Setting the sights is practically impossible. Even after adjusting their
height to the maximum, it’s not possible to hit the center of the target at
5 meters. The solution is to pad the sights with a small black LEGO brick!!!
Brick size 2×1×0.5.
2) After inserting the cartridge, it did not pierce. While trying to remove it,
it shot out of the chamber into the groin. The seal around the piercing valve
fell out of the pistol.
3) My patience and trust in the ASG company are exhausted. I AM RETURNING THE
PISTOL!!!
24.11.2025 The complaint was handled smoothly and thanks to Mr. “balistas”
at the store. I picked out a replacement for the returned Sig Sauer M17 Coyote.
At first glance in the Eshop image, it looked great. But once you hold it in
your hand, you realize it’s „cheap“ plastic. However, Mr. “balistas”
allowed me to try it at the store. Fixed sights, all shots were 5 cm below the
black circle on the target when aiming at the center. I was intrigued by the
strip magazine for pellets = after firing, two remained in the magazine.
Deciding not to want to lose the money I had invested once again, I gradually
tried the Spartan version, whose workmanship is far behind ASG. After
30 minutes of testing, the result was — give me a new ASG STI Combat
Master CO2.
At home: I inserted the LEGO brick under the rear sight—see above. Applied
some silicone oil to the seal under the cartridge and used the ASG gold
cartridge. Result: 46 shots without any problems. All within a 5 cm circle at
5 meters. I’M KEEPING IT — IT’S BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
