Slim design, semi-automatic firing mode, extreme power. These are just some of the many advantages of the brand-new PCP air rifle from the renowned company Taipan Airguns.
As is clear at first glance, this bullpup is not simply another addition to the Veteran family. It is a completely new air rifle and does not share a single component with previous models. That is precisely why its designers gave it the short and fitting name Taipan SLASH.
Semi-Auto
The key feature of the new Taipan is undoubtedly its semi-automatic firing mode. After many years of research, the designers managed to develop and patent a revolutionary valve with exceptionally fast opening and closing speeds. The result is high power with minimal air consumption - approximately 7-9 cm3/J. Its unprecedented power in semi-automatic mode also allows the use of slug ammunition.

PCP System
The SLASH is particularly distinctive for the unusual positioning of its air cylinder in the buttstock area. The newer version features a larger 440 cc carbon-fibre air cylinder, offering a significantly greater air capacity than the original 300cc version. Thanks to its minimal air consumption and maximum filling pressure of up to 300 bar, it delivers a high shot count per fill. The current cylinder pressure is shown on an easy-to-read pressure gauge.
Warning: Due to the dimensions of the new 440cc cylinder, this version is NOT compatible with the Air-G-Tac Taipan SLASH pressure gauge adapter with filling pin.
Accuracy and Magazine
Taipan air rifles are renowned for their unrivalled accuracy - and this one is no exception. This is largely thanks to the barrel made by the renowned Czech company CZUB, which has specialised in manufacturing firearms since 1936.
The Taipan SLASH allows you to change the bore size / calibre. This process requires several internal components to be replaced, and therefore considerable experience with PCP systems. Always follow the manual or instructional video.
The air rifle's construction itself also contributes to its accuracy. Thanks to the rigid metal frame and minimal tolerances of the individual components, any vibration and flex during shooting have been suppressed.
The final feature ensuring high accuracy is the new magazine - it is not spring-preloaded, so there is no risk of deforming pellets or slugs during reloading. A major advantage over other semi-auto air rifles is that the magazine can be easily removed by sliding back the lever above the grip. It also accommodates projectiles up to 13mm long.

Design
Other distinctive features of the new Taipan include its low-profile design, with an overall height of just 17 cm without a riflescope fitted. The barrel is fully shrouded and features a highly effective integrated sound moderator at the muzzle. An adapter must be purchased separately to fit an external moderator.
The fore-end features several rows of M-LOK slots for mounting accessories, while a conventional Picatinny rail with a 20 MOA cant, is provided for mounting a riflescope, making it easier to adjust the optics for long-range shooting. In keeping with current trends, it also features a standardised AR-15-style grip, making it easy to replace.
For comfortable shooting even in low temperatures, the SLASH is fitted with an ergonomically shaped polymer cheekpiece with a rubberised finish and a height-adjustable buttpad.
The air rifle features two types of safety - a conventional manual safety located in front of the trigger, and a second, automatic safety that prevents firing when the magazine is removed.

Note 1: The package includes 2 magazines. One is designed for conventional pellets (the magazine with a hole in the rear face), and the other is designed for slug ammunition (without a hole). They differ in chamber diameter. Always use the appropriate magazine. The exception is the 4,5 mm calibre, for which the chamber diameter is identical for both pellets and slugs. This calibre therefore comes with 2 universal magazines for both types of ammunition. Caution: To ensure correct operation, each projectile must be carefully pushed past the plastic ball inside the magazine.
Note 2: Every semi-automatic PCP air rifle currently available on the market remains continuously fully cocked (loaded), which can be dangerous when handling the gun and may also cause the internal components to wear more quickly. The charging lever on the right-hand side is used both for initially loading (cocking) the air rifle and for subsequently unloading (deactivating) it. Simply pull the lever back and hold it firmly, pull the trigger and carefully return the lever to its original position. The gun is then unloaded.
Note 3: We strongly advise against making any adjustments to the air rifle's settings, particularly those of the trigger mechanism and pressure regulator. Both systems are factory-set to ensure correct operation in semi-automatic mode. Improper adjustment of the trigger or regulator may cause the air rifle to jam.
Note 4: The air rifle is factory-set to a muzzle energy that provides the best accuracy and optimal air consumption with the test ammunition used (listed in the specifications table). The values in the table below can be achieved simply by adjusting the pressure regulator. To increase / decrease the available range, an optional Power Kit can be purchased. This consists of 4 components that must be replaced inside the air rifle. The maximum recommended regulator pressure is 170 bar. To achieve a higher pressure, up to 220 bar, an upgraded regulator can be purchased.
