As the name suggests, it's been developed with a single goal - to completely dominate the Field Target competition.
And it has a lot to offer. The free-floating barrel is tweaked to the finest details and within the tightest tolerances that modern technologies can allow. In addition, it is fitted with an adjustable "Air Stripper" muzzle brake for perfecting the already excellent accuracy.
Under the barrel, you'll find a titanium cartridge, with a pressure gauge recessed in the left side of the stock. It can be filled with the supplied Air Arms filling pin featuring a 1/8BSP male thread. The FT version has a special feature - an integrated water level at the bottom of the cartridge. It includes a slot at the end for hanging any object for wind indication.
The polished laminate stock has been in all ways designed to fit any shooter. This is particularly aided by the fully adjustable buttpad with multiple articulating segments and the option of installing a "butt hook" extension, as well as the height and length adjustable cheekpiece. The RH version is tailored for right-handed shooters.
Another useful feature is the hinged palmrest, which can be released and secured with just one button. Its construction is very sturdy and it can easily support the whole air rifle on a flat surface. Both the palmrest and the forearm include a UIT rail. To fit stouter marksmen, the bottom of the grip can be extended by three plates (2 metal, 1 laminate).
The competition special of course features a sport trigger, which can be adjusted for both phases as well as the overall trigger position. The reloading is done by a classic side lever with very smooth travel, situated on the right side.
As with other Air Arms air rifles, the riflescope can be attached to the 11mm dovetail rail. The user also has the option to remove the raised rail, as it is mounted on another 11mm dovetail.
