The tube itself is filled with nitrogen and is made from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminium. The optics therefore do not fog up, withstand immersion to a depth of 1 m, and resist recoil up to .338 Lapua Magnum.
The low-profile turrets are lockable and must be pulled up before making adjustments. The value of one click is 1/10 MRAD. Parallax adjustment is adjustable from 20 yards (18.3 m) to infinity.
The tactical reticle VPA-MF is located in the first focal plane, so its size changes with the selected magnification. The reticle is etched directly into the lens glass, which further enhances the overall durability of the riflescope.
This model is capable of withstanding 750 g (unit of gravitational acceleration), which is equivalent to the recoil of firearms in .223 and .308 calibres.
