The Czech brand Valiant is entering the market with a new range of highly durable and affordable rifle scopes under the name Zephyr. These scopes offer the best price-to-performance ratio. They provide a beautifully clear image and high-quality workmanship.
The Valiant Zephyr rifle scopes have undergone demanding tests to withstand the toughest conditions. The reinforced 30mm one-piece tube is made from aircraft-grade duralumin and is nitrogen-filled. Thanks to this, it offers high mechanical resistance and is fogproof. The lenses are coated with a multi-layer green anti-reflective coating, which guarantees a clear and bright image even in poor light conditions. The eyepiece of the scope features optical correction of -2/+2 dioptres. The etched glass reticle is extremely resistant to recoil, corresponding to .375 H&H calibre, i.e. over 6000 J.
This model uses the FBR reticle, which is suitable for long-range shooting. The reticle is placed in the second focal plane, so it remains the same size when magnification changes. It can be illuminated in green or red in 5 intensity levels. Thanks to the wide intensity adjustment range and illumination of the reticle centre only, there is no risk of annoying glare.
The scope has exposed turrets, which are resettable and lockable (Premium Locking System). The adjustment step is 1/4 MOA. For operation, simply pull the turret up; after zeroing, push the turret back down and you can be sure it will not move. The turrets are sufficiently large and clearly separate individual clicks, so you can use them while wearing gloves. The clicks themselves are very positive; you can not only feel each click on your fingers but also clearly hear it. On this model, the parallax is located on the side of the scope. Valiant has worked to minimise parallax error as much as possible, which shooters will certainly appreciate.
Thanks to innovative design features, it has a 30% larger field of view, improved image sharpness, and more accurate colour rendition. The special design also eliminates the so-called “tunnel effect” when looking through the scope (with correct eye position the image completely loses black edges). For comfortable handling, a large side wheel for parallax adjustment is also included in the box. The sunshade can be mounted for shooting in bright sunlight or snow.
